Dallas Children's Advocacy Center Receives $2,000 Donation from Social Media Campaign

Dallas, Texas May 4, 2011 - Dallas Fort-Worth mattress retailer Sleep Experts today announced it is donating $2,000 to Dallas Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC), an organization that serves severely abused children in Dallas County. The donation is the result of a social media campaign in which Sleep Experts pledged $1 for every "Like" to the company's Share the Gift of Sleep Facebook page throughout April, National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

"We are truly grateful to Sleep Experts for their efforts on behalf of DCAC and the children we serve," said Lynn M. Davis, President and CEO of DCAC. "The Share the Gift of Sleep Facebook campaign succeeded in raising funds while also spreading our message of hope and healing to thousands of North Texans through the power of social media."

Through its Share the Gift of Sleep program, Sleep Experts also supports DCAC by donating recycled mattresses, conducting public awareness campaigns, and sponsoring DCAC's annual Appetite for Advocacy Luncheon.

About DCAC
The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is where healing begins for abused children. Founded in 1991 to provide a more seamless approach to the investigation, treatment, and prosecution of the most severe cases of child abuse, the mission of DCAC is to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and provide national leadership on child abuse issues.
